Myriam discovered yoga as young girl thanks to her grandmother.
She has been practicing yoga in several places in the world from Indonesia to Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Abu Dhabi and USA.
As she always wanted to make a difference in the world, Myriam studied a MA in International Cooperation with specialization in developing countries in Brazil. There, she had the chance to learn about afro-Brazilian spiritual dances. Upon her return to Belgium she started a regular yoga practice.
In 2015, while living in California, Myriam completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training at Smiling Dog Yoga Studio.
During this training, she immediately fell in love with the fluid, dance-like, feminine sequencing of Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow Practice. Shiva Rea’s approach to yoga resonated with her as it reminded her several ritual movement meditations from the Candomble and Umbanda in Brazil to the prostration in Muslim prayers in Morocco, and ecstatic movements during services in Fijian Churches.
Her classes are infused with themes that arise from daily life, yoga philosophy, self-love and nature.
She loves to inspire students through the practice of yoga to connect with their inner selves and to remind them that they are the masters of their own lives.
What thrills her most is to encourage and help students love, nurture their bodies and minds so they can live a positive, happy life and share it!
Myriam aims to share with them this passion of yoga that can allow them to be a better person, honouring themselves, others and the world.
